New Arrivals

Christmas has arrived at Quilters' Corner:

We've just received Harriet Hargrave's latest reproduction collection "Austen Manor" and have it available in a kit. It features a wonderful large-scale peacock, originally from a chintz fabric, c. 1810-1815. The supporting pieces are all dated 1815-1840. Harriet's used her in-depth knowledge of the period to choose the finest pieces from her extensive collection. The result is impressive.

From Wilmington "A Call to Joy", by Danhiu Nai. It looks a lot like her previous line "Aged Elegance", soft and sweet. It doesn't scream christmas, so it can be used all year long. It is gorgeous with a number of fabulous florals, stripes and tone on tones. It comes with a project sheet for a medallion quilt (all pieced).

Coming in June is Makower's Christmas, Clothwork's "Bountiful Blessings", and Moda's "Merry and Bright" designed by Mary Englebriet. If you are into that traditional look, we will be getting Hoffman's "Holiday Traditions" and "Venetian Holiday". You will have plenty of time to finish those special Christmas projects if you start NOW!

For all you Civil War buffs, our 1800's section is getting bigger by the day. We have purchased Jo Morton's entire line of both "Meg's Bouguet" and her "Toast". From Red Rooster, we just received the"Anibella's" collection. It looks more like the first half of the 19th century, before the Civil War... It has a multi colored toile with a coordinated pillar print, some florals and botanicals and tone on tones. Twenty-four pieces in all. It's to die for! And not to be forgotten, Judy Rothermel's "Sturbridge Scarlets" look fabulous with "Civil War Dressing Gown II" and "Merrimack".

Thimbleberries' lines in the shop now include the "Cover Story" pieces: Little Sweetheart, Kite Flying, School Days, and Set Sail. There is a Christmas line "Christmas Punch". We've also got the new autumn line, "Harvest Reflections" and our most recent arrival is "October Glow". What fun!

Any finally, we've always got great bargains on our three church pews. There's always something great to use for your quilt backs or just to add to your stash.
